Greetings and Welcome!

The Pacific Northwest Lesbian Archives gathers, preserves and makes accessible primary source materials of lesbians in the Pacific Northwest in order to enhance public and scholarly understanding of our diverse regional herstory.

Check out our recent publicity in Seattle Woman Magazine’s March issue!! – Trailblazers: Four Women Leading the Way

It is essential that Lesbians Of Color preserve their herstory!!

The Archives is dedicated to providing a space for the herstory of ALL Pacific Northwest Lesbians. The Pacific Northwest Lesbian Archives provides:

  • Assistance to help identify important and valuable records
  • Space for our community’s treasures
  • An environment that celebrates our herstory and culture

Our “Maiden Voyage” event with Colonel Grethe Cammermeyer on March 13, 2008 was so much fun. Women came from as far away as Tacoma, Langley, and Bremerton to hear Grethe speak about her experience collecting and documenting her story challenging the US military’s stance on LGBT service men & women.

Future PNLA events will be announced here.

Our website is being updated to provide more access from a distance. We will have a new look as well as a list of our collections. Stay tuned…
